The Gallery was started in 2020 during lockdown when I decided to do what I love best, send unlimited emails to whoever. After many back-and-forths, budget plans, sketches, and commissions, the Student Gallery is up and running. Here's some things you need to know:

1. The people in charge of this whole space are the students. You are in charge of planning shows, scheduling them, putting them up, taking them down, contacting maintenance to repair the walls, etc. It's a lot of work, but it is also extremely exciting and a great resume builder.

2. We have access to a closet "BO3" in the basement of Converse where we can store pedestals that are not in use, as well as a ladder to adjust the track lighting to each show, and a dolly to move the pedestals around. To get into this closet, call campus security and they will let you in.

3. There are a few people to contact for different things in the Gallery. 

Lance Newman-He is the dean of the Arts College and has helped me through this entire process of building this out and finding funding. If you have a question about logistics of the space this isn't listed out below, contact him via email.

Kenton Gregory- He is the head of the team who will do repairs and repainting the space. After each show, to patch screw holes, and patch please fill out a Work Order and Kenton and his crew will handle touch ups. Please do not handle these yourself so we use the same paint that is already on the wall. Ask Lance to sign the Work Order if you need a signature, or email Lance and cc Kenton with any questions regarding this form. 

Holly Patterson- She is the head of maintenance and is who to contact if you need another ladder, need to ask about general storage questions, or if you need chairs, tables, etc. for an event in the space. She has tabs on all the furniture on campus and a good resource. 

Campus Security- You will need to call campus security to be able to access the closet to store pedestals, access the ladder or dolly, etc. 801.832.2525

5. Here is a link to the work order request, which you will need to fill out any time you want repairs to the walls made.
